The homeowner, having lived abroad for many years, developed a deep affection for the nostalgic beauty of European vintage interiors. Throughout decades of solo travel across Europe, he collected unique decorative pieces from local flea markets — objects rich with patina, memory, and emotion. Each item tells a story of a place once visited, a moment once cherished. Upon returning home, he wished to give these treasures a new life, placing them in a space that could bridge the sentiment of the past with the clarity of the present.
The design challenge was to weave these diverse objects — each from a different era and style — into a contemporary home that feels both timeless and personal. The solution lies in contrast and connection: between old and new, movement and stillness, nostalgia and modernity.
An open-plan layout defines the spatial rhythm. The flooring subtly divides the active and tranquil zones, guiding the flow of life through materials rather than walls. At the entrance, terracotta-toned Spanish tiles set the tone — evoking the charm of a Mediterranean courtyard and leading naturally toward the dining and kitchen areas. Here, a brick-red terrazzo island anchors the space like a café counter, creating a warm focal point where family gathers. A 1970s pendant lamp and minimalist dining furniture enter into quiet dialogue, balancing heritage with modern design clarity.
Along the corridor, a full-height open bookshelf integrates storage and movement, transforming the kitchen bar wall into a passage of books and stories.
The living area embodies calm and introspection. A moonlit seascape painting dominates the main wall, its flowing horizon subtly extending into the textured gray diatomite finish — a gesture that visually connects the artwork, the architecture, and the inhabitant’s emotions. Classic herringbone wood flooring and patterned rugs ground the space in comfort, while a relaxed daybed and rugged lounge chair express freedom and informality — the true spirit of living.
From its high-floor vantage point, the home embraces sweeping views of clouds and the city skyline. This interplay between interior and exterior creates a cinematic sense of time — where changing light and atmosphere breathe life into the space each day.
This project is not merely a renovation but a curation of memory. It transforms personal history into spatial experience, allowing modern design to serve as a vessel for emotional continuity. Through the fusion of vintage treasures and contemporary sensibility, it celebrates the timeless dialogue between memory, material, and modern life.

屋主長年居住在國外，對歐式復古懷舊風格情有獨鍾。多年來，他頻繁前往歐洲自助旅行，並在各地的跳蚤市場中找到一些珍貴且難以割捨的家居飾品，這些來自不同國家的獨特物件承載著他對過去時光的記憶與情感。當他搬進新家時，希望能為這些收藏品找到合適的位置，並在現代設計元素的襯托下，讓它們焕發新生。如何在保持懷舊氛圍的同時，將這些不同年代風格的家飾品與現代設計相融合，成為了一個極具挑戰性的課題。
整體空間採開放式設計，並透過地面的材質來劃分出動與靜的不同區域。進入玄關，首先映入眼簾的是鋪設有復古陶瓦色西班牙花磚的地面，這些花磚散發著異國情調，將餐廳與廚房區域巧妙連接，彷彿將人帶入一座異國花園。磚紅色的水磨石中島吧台如同一個咖啡廳的櫃檯，成為家人聚集的熱區，並完美搭配復古的1970年代吊燈與現代風格的餐桌椅，呈現出和諧的視覺效果。位於走廊的廚房吧檯下方，整面開放式的書架牆不僅提供了大量藏書的儲存與展示空間，同時也滿足了實用性與流線動線的需求。
客廳的「靜」則體現在主牆面上懸掛的一幅壯麗的月光海景畫作，平靜的海浪線條延伸至灰色硅藻土拉花牆面，並繼續延伸至走道，引領著視線進入私人空間。經典的魚骨木地板與充滿圖騰風格的地毯共同營造出溫馨而舒適的氛圍，而置於其中的輕鬆隨意的day bed坐臥沙發，搭配粗獷風格的單椅，使得空間更具自由與隨性，傳遞出生活的自在與輕鬆感。
高樓層的開闊景觀讓這個家擁有無與倫比的視覺享受。偶爾被雲霧包圍的景象與遠方的城市天際線，彷彿為這個家增添了一層內外聯動的情感與故事，使得空間不僅是居住的場所，更成為了一個充滿情感與想像的生活舞台。
這個設計完美結合了懷舊的家居飾品與現代設計風格，成功地將過去與現在、傳統與創新交織在一起，創造出一個既具有歷史深度又充滿現代氣息的居住空間。
